To keep health risks from alcohol low, the UK Chief Medical Officers advise not drinking more than 14 units a week on a regular basis — spread over three or more days, with several drink-free days, and no bingeing. 14 units is roughly six 175ml glasses of average-strength (13% ABV) wine, or six pints of average-strength beer. Binge drinking is defined as more than 6 units in a single session for women and 8 units for men. There is no completely “safe” level of drinking — this is why it’s called “low risk” rather than “safe”.
One unit of alcohol is 10ml (8g) of pure alcohol. Zimasa Vodka is 37.5% ABV — a 25ml single measure contains approximately 0.9 units.
